We are ready for full fangirl mode over the new show ‘Scorpion’ after watching the entire pilot episode at San Diego Comic Con.
In Scorpion, an eccentric genius (Elyes Gabel) and his international network of super-geniuses form the last line of defense against the complex threats of the modern age. Sleepy Hollow creators Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci will executive-produce the project, which comes from Prison Break’s Nick Santora.
The show stars Katharine McPhee, Elyes Gabel, Robert Patrick, Eddie Kaye Thomas, Jadyn Wong and Ari Stidham.
There are many reasons to add to ‘Scorpion’ to your must see TV list for the fall. To begin with, the show is based upon true events and real people. The actual genius who is the inspiration for the show, Walter O’Brien, joined the cast on the SDCC panel to talk with the audience about his life work and the show itself. It always adds a little extra to a show when you know that it has a real life foundation.
As the panel discussed the show, they tell us that ‘Scorpion’ is “about the characters, but there will be amazing action.” I can definitely attest to the characters and to the action during the pilot episode. I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know the genius team and also seeing the spectacular action as the story unfold.
‘Scorpion’ has character, chemistry, intelligence (a ton of intelligence), action, depth, and it all takes place among a thrill ride story. I will be one of the many tuning in this fall to make ‘Scorpion’ part of my regular viewing schedule.
Watch the trailer for ‘Scorpion’ and tell us if you will be tuning in as well.
‘Scorpion’ airs starting September 22, 2014 on CBS at 9 pm ET.
