Stephenie Meyer has a new movie venture and it might include some sparkling in the sun, but we don’t think it includes Edward!
Stephenie Meyer and Meghan Hibbett’s Fickle Fish Films has optioned rights to Mindy McGinnis’ debut young-adult novel Not a Drop to Drink, a survival story set in a world where fresh water is almost nonexistent.
Picture this, it’s the future and water is scarce.
Now imagine Bella is water and Edward is crazy protective just like good ole Edward, except Edward is a girl alone with a gun.
Not a Drop to Drink centers on Lynn, whose survival in the dystopian world means protecting her precious freshwater pond against drought, snowless winters, coyotes, and, most importantly, people looking for a drink. Having a pond requires the fortitude to protect it, something Mother taught her well during their quiet hours on the rooftop, rifles in hand. But wisps of smoke on the horizon mean one thing: strangers are coming.
Hopefully the strangers are Cullens! Even better…check out how this Cullen walks at ya.
Vampires don’t need water. Best spinoff idea ever! This YA adaptation would definitely break even at the box office if it had some vampires in it Stephenie. Call up Robert Pattinson now! Stephenie hasn’t had a hit since the ‘Twilight’ movies, but we are hoping this one hits it out of the park for her like Jasper playing Baseball.
